SAT Classes Reflection:
Last summer, I went to Merica for TOEFL classes. I had already taken the SAT in May with a score of 1830 and planned on taking it a second time in October. The teachers encouraged me to study harder for this exam but I did not really know where to begin. After the two months of TOEFL classes and test came to a close, I decided to seize the opportunity to improve my SAT score. From 何宗翰老師, I learned many valuable testing strategies such as how to analyze the sentence structure in order to respond to the question more efficiently and accurately. Moreover, I expanded my vocabulary by memorizing word roots, prefixes and suffixes. Most importantly, it was very beneficial for me to follow the teacher’s advice on how to manage the twenty five minutes with the essay. Each practice test provided helpful lessons and familiarized me with the actual SAT test. Even though I only had five SAT classes at Merica, I felt that they were very useful in bringing my SAT score up by 210, making my final score 2040. Without them, I would not have set aside time to study so diligently for the SAT because I was busy with schoolwork. Thank you to all the teachers at Merica.
